Since the lifespan of Insat 2E is nearing its end, most of the channels are now migrated to a new satellite Intelsat 17 at 66 Degrees East, unfortunately for Middle East users, this is a bad move as signals are less for this satellite compared to INSAT 2E & 4B and to receive channels in good clarity will need to go for a bigger dish. In addition to that viewers will need to upgrade to new MPEG-4 / DVBS2 STB’s to receive many of the channels.

The advantage is that you can get almost all South Indian FTA channels including some good music channels lie SS music, Mega Music, Yes Indiavision from the satellite.

Reporter channel New frequency is

Intelsat 17 66E
4024 H
14400-3/4
8PSK
DVB-S2

Unfortunately, at this point, I am not able to tune this frequency on my Technosat HD receiver as it seems there is an issue that it cannot save unnamed channels as it carries only service id. Hope the Essel Shyam (technology provider) will consider our request to correct the issue.
